WGNZ (1110 AM) – Wattage Increase Granted

On January 28, 2008, the FCC - Federal Communications Commission granted WGNZ (1110 AM), a full-time Christian radio station, permission to increase the power wattage from its current 2500 watts to an upgraded 5000 watts.

Norman and Timothy Livingston are the operators of the station, which has been on the air with Christian programming since 1979.

The power increase is projected to be completed in the summer of 2008. WGNZ will begin an on-air fund raiser beginning March 6 – 15, to raise money for a 5000 watt transmitter.
